Samsung ISOCELL HP2 is the second 200MP sensor Samsung has ever created. The HP2 sensor excels in capturing stunning shots with exceptional detail and vibrant colours. The sensor’s pixel isolation technology ensures accurate color reproduction and reduced crosstalk between pixels, resulting in sharp, lifelike images. The ISOCELL HP2’s ability to capture detailed images with enhanced dynamic range and low-light performance is one of its key features. It employs pixel-binning technology, which merges data from several pixels into one to improve sensitivity in low-light environments and reduce noise. This technology enables the sensor to create high-quality photos even in low-light conditions.

Furthermore, the ISOCELL HP2 can record 8K video at 30 frames per second. It allows users to capture high-resolution videos with rich details. It also offers advanced auto-focus capabilities, including phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) for faster and more accurate focusing. The ISOCELL HP2 features a large 1/1.22-inch sensor size. Samsung ISOCELL HP3 is the newest version of the 200MP sensor lineup from Samsung.  ISOCELL HP3 is used as the primary camera sensor in flagship smartphones, enabling them to capture high-resolution photos and videos. For instance, Realme 11 Pro+ camera was built in collaboration with Samsung and will utilise Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 SuperZoom sensor. The sensor comes with the Tetra2pixel technology. It combines up to 16 pixels into one larger pixel, enables users to capture photos with up to 200 million pixels. The sensor is 1/1.4-inch in size, with 0.56m pixels and an f/1.69 aperture. The sensor competes with the Sony IMX766 sensor in terms of resolution and clarity.

ISOCELL HP3 is capable of 2x/4x lossless zoom thanks to its In-sensor Zoom technology. According to Realme, the sensor will support many image modes, letting users freely compose shots from any distance. Furthermore, the sensor has been announced to include capabilities such as Super Group Portrait and One Take. These capabilities use AI algorithms to generate several photographs from various angles, allowing users to effortlessly take their best shots.
