Samsung S24& Galaxy Unpacked: Samsung is turning into Apple

What's wrong with samsung?

Samsung S24

Samsung S24: In recent years, it’s been increasingly irritating to see Apple’s seeming standstill in terms of innovation. The corporation that once transformed the technology industry with breakthrough designs and features now appears to be stuck in a cycle of recycling and rehashing. Each new iPhone release feels like déjà vu. Every time apple announces what they call the “best smartphone ever,” only to present a gadget that is essentially the same as its predecessor with slight modifications. Gone are the days of bold, industry-changing inventions. Instead, customers are exposed to a seemingly never-ending cycle of similar designs and features. This leading many to worry if Apple has lost touch with its innovative spirit. It’s depressing to see a digital behemoth rest on its triumphs, relying on brand loyalty and marketing hype. As supporters hunger for genuine innovation, Apple’s repetitious approach creates a hole that competition may soon fill.

Many optimistic tech enthusiasts thought that Samsung would fill the void left by Apple. With its wide range of products, Samsung appeared to be moving in the right direction for a while. Particularly, the Galaxy S and Note series demonstrated a readiness to explore novel form factors and integrate state-of-the-art technologies. In the realm of smartphone evolution, Samsung’s strategy made Apple look like a practical joke in sharp contrast to the latter’s gradual advancements.

Watch this video to see how Samsung beat Apple to produce a higher-quality screen. The 2011 Samsung S2 and the iPhone 11 Pro max are shown in the video. It was released in 2019, therefore the interval is roughly eight years. However, the older device Samsung projected sharp and deep blacks better than iPhone that was released in 2011. Now, Samsung has recently unveiled its much awaited S24 series through their Galaxy unpacked event.

Galaxy Unpacked: What is it?

Galaxy unpacked is Samsung’s yearly tradition of revealing its newest gadgets. The event has grown to be highly anticipated. Samsung uses this showcase to highlight its most recent and cutting-edge products. The Galaxy Unpacked events are enormous spectacles that are painstakingly planned to enthrall audiences and create anticipation. Every year, Samsung presents its newest flagship smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other technological marvels to an international audience, giving attendees and spectators a peek of what’s to come.

Samsung, once again reveled its newest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series, during the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event. The event was conducted recently in San Jose, California. This impressive range, which included the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and the incredibly potent S24 Ultra, represented the pinnacle of Samsung’s technological capabilities. The S24 Ultra stood out among them all without a doubt because of its enormous 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which promises an immersive visual experience. The gadget has a sturdy titanium frame that gives it a high-end, long-lasting vibe. The camera system, which boasts an incredible 200MP primary camera and signifies Samsung’s unwavering dedication to reinventing mobile photography. These are the thoughts of Samsung.

Galaxy Unpacked: Let’s Get Real!

As Samsung proudly unveiled its Galaxy S24 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event, the tech world was left in awe—until, of course, reality set in. The S24 Ultra’s monumental 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display promises an immersive visual extravaganza, but if you’re holding last year’s model, you might want to borrow a magnifying glass to spot the difference. With a titanium frame exuding an air of sophistication, the S24 Ultra could be mistaken for its predecessor, the S23, in a lineup where distinguishing features seem to be playing hide-and-seek. The camera system, a seemingly groundbreaking 200MP primary camera, shouts innovation, but the deja vu feeling remains strong when you realize it’s a mirror image of what we saw last year.

Everything just same, ditto and identical. At this point, I felt like I am out of synonyms for the word “Same”. In the grand theater of technological evolution, it seems Samsung decided to hit the replay button, leaving users wondering if they accidentally stepped into a time loop. Perhaps the S24 series should come with a detective kit, complete with a magnifying glass, to help users uncover the subtle nuances that separate it from the S23.

Galaxy AI: There’s Nothing Cool

In a bid to redefine user experience, Samsung introduces a game-changing addition to its arsenal – the Galaxy AI. This technological marvel isn’t just another gimmick. Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist are the new players in the Galaxy AI lineup. Need to bridge language barriers? The Interpreter feature has your back. Fumbling for words? Chat Assist swoops in to save the day. Forgot to jot down that important note? Enter Note Assist. And when it’s time to transform speech into text seamlessly, Transcript Assist steps up to the plate.

However, all of these are already present on Android but with a different name and approach. For instance, the Circle to Search feature, an S24 Ultra’s exclusive feature is already present on Google app. The reality taps its shoulder to remind us that Android users have been doing a similar dance with Google’s search feature for a while. Forget the fancy circle; all you need is a good old box that you can drag over your screen. The best part? You don’t need to break the bank for an S24 Ultra; your trusty $100 Android phone can join the party too. It’s like Samsung threw a glitzy gala for features that Android users have been enjoying in their own low-budget version of the tech runway. Take a look at this feature.

Samsung: The New Apple Inc

Now, the point is Samsung is slowly turning into its idol, The Apple Inc. Samsung, once the vocal critic, has now taken a leaf out of Apple’s book, and it seems like irony is having a field day. First, they took shots at Apple for ditching the charger in the box, only to find themselves singing the same tune. It’s like the tech world’s version of karma – mock and ye shall receive the same fate.

The whole S24 saga is more of like a Software update than a new series. Samsung don’t need to release a new phone; they just need to send a notification saying “Your S23 is now the S24!”. It’s like they’re treating phone releases as if they’re rolling out the latest software update – bug fixes, a few tweaks here and there, and voila, you’ve got the S24 experience. Samsung might want to consider rebranding their phone releases as “Samsung Galaxy S(ame)” because, let’s face it, the S24 saga feels more like a chapter in an ongoing story rather than the beginning of a new one. Hey Samsung, next time, just send us an update notification, okay?
