Flix S1 is a new smartwatch range from Flix, a brand that is powered by Beetel India. The watch is currently available on both Amazon & Flipkart at just 2999 INR. In general, we find a bunch of smart bands being placed at this price range. For instance, Mi Band, Fastrack Reflex, Realme Band were available at this price point. They also possess an amazing set of features. However, a little paradigm-shifting was observed in this category and now we are finding a bunch of smartwatches being placed in this category.
Flix S1 is one of those smartwatches that is currently priced competitively along with smart bands. This watch not only got the price tag of a smart band but also got the same set of features one can see in a smart band.
Features:
Let’s go through the features of this smart band once and then we will jump into its review. The new Flix S1 has got

Flix Smartwatch S1 Review: Design
The dial of Flix S1 has got a 1.4 Inch IPS LCD Display with 240×240 TFT screen resolution. The display was very decent for its price tag. It is even good than the Boat Xplorer, another smartwatch with the same price tag. The watch was only available in black and design-wise it is looking good and elegant.
The silicone straps were placed in pure black colour and they go hand in hand with the black dial. The square-shaped dial seems nice and not oversized at all. It fits almost everyone. The colour profiling of the watch is elegant. I haven’t expected this kind of quality from a watch that has got the price tag of a smart band.
Verdict: Overall, design-wise, they are no complaints at all. The watch looks stunning and visually appealing with that black colour. However, we wanted some more colours other than just pure black.
Flix Smartwatch S1 Review: Features
Flix Smartwatch S1 comes with some onboard sensors to measures Heart rate, Temperature and other Vitals. These sensors measure the data in real-time and can transfer it to the mobile app.
While the heart rate feature is nothing new in smartwatches and smart bands, temperature measurement is a new feature we observed in this segment. The watch took around 1 full minute (60 Secs) to measure temperature in me. It measured the temperature in terms of Celsius by default with good accuracy. We tested its accuracy with a medical thermometer and observed a good amount of consistency in its readings.
When it comes to heart rate, the watch took around 40 Seconds to measure heart rate. It’s the same as the regular Mi Band. Along with these, Flix S1 comes with “FindMyPhone” that helps to track your phone in your house or when it is lost.
Verdict: Overall, this watch has got the same set of features as the regular smart bands. However, the active temperature measurement feature is cool and we haven’t seen this feature in any smart band or watches at this price range. Thumbs up for that.
Flix Smartwatch S1 Review: App & Connectivity
For App connectivity, Flix S1 has got a mobile app called HitFit Pro. This app is available in the play store and it is available at 93 MB in size to download. This app can be used to track the vitals of our body during our workouts. To possess seamless connectivity with the app, this watch possesses Bluetooth. Although it has got Bluetooth connectivity, the version of Bluetooth was not revealed in any of the product packagings.
The mobile app “HitFit Pro” looks not good at all and even the reviews on it were horrible. You can check the reviews here. The UI of this app looks as if it was designed by some grad students who are on the verge of their project failing.
The app has many flaws right from false data interpretations, sync failures and occasional crashes as well. Sometimes out of the blue, the app won’t even connect to the phone although Bluetooth was turned on.
Verdict: The App is a massive failure and it let down the watch entirely. Even the connectivity of it has got some issues which made the data sync between the app & watch impossible sometimes. The brand should take care of it in the future or else there will be no future for this smartwatch.
Flix Smartwatch S1 Review: Battery
Flix Smartwatch S1 comes with a 160 mAh Lithium polymer battery running at 3.7V and comes with a DC connector powering magnetic charger along with it. Although the watch did charge pretty fast, we didn’t find the battery backup that good as advertised by the brand.
It took a full 3-5 hours for the battery to reach 100% and it went perfect for 5-6 days straight. The 7th day was a 50-50 and we did charge the phone at 5:00 PM on the 7th day. Hence on moderate usage, this watch will stand for at least a week. Ten days battery backup was not possible with it.
Verdict: Although the battery backup was nowhere near to the advertised number, the watch, however, endured us for a full week. The charging speed is decent and it is a daily driver.
