Dizo is a new brand that was introduced under the realme TechLife ecosystem. The brand is getting its backing from Realme and is aiming to go beyond just a consumer tech brand. As a part of this, the brand has launched a series of gadgets including Ear pods, Smart Entertainment Systems, and Featured phones. Recently, the brand has also unveiled its first smartwatch – DIZO Watch.
Dizo Watch is the first series of smartwatches from the company. The DIZO Watch is equipped with a 3.5cm (1.4”) High-res Touchscreen, 90 Sports Modes. It also comes with 12 days of Battery Life, health and fitness monitoring, Live Watch Faces, IP68 Water Resistant, Smart AIoT Control, etc. With this smartwatch, the company is aiming towards ceasing the budget wearables segment. Let’s see a detailed review of this smartwatch.
Dizo by Realme Watch Review: Design
Dizo Watch features a 3.5cm (1.4″) Touchscreen dial. The screen has a resolution rate of 320 x 320 Pixels. It can produce a peak brightness of up to 600 nits. Therefore, the display looks pretty good even in the broad daylight. The straps of this watch are changeable and look pretty neat. They are made up of silicone and adds an elegant feel to this watch. According to its official website, Dizo watch is available in 2 different colors – Silver and Carbon Grey. The display also offers HD resolution at 323 ppi with a refresh rate clocked at 30 FPS. As a result, the watch is producing a great display with vivid colors.
One thing I hated about the watch design is its bezels. The bezels of this watch are over the top and occupy a consistent part of the watch’s display. As a result of this, the screen looks small. It impacted the overall design quotient of this smartwatch. In terms of quality assurance, the watch was tested extensively. According to their website, the tests conducted on it include 1,00,000+ button tests, tension resistance tests of up to 7kg, 3,000+ clasping tests, and 3,000+ bent tests.
Verdict: Overall, the design looks good. You can find this kind of design range in many smartwatches in the same price range. However, the quality seems very good in this watch. Except for the length of the bezels, everything looks good with this watch. Some watches around the same price tag have got thinner bezels than this watch.
Dizo by Realme Watch Review: User Interface
The DIZO Watch comes preloaded with 90 Sports Modes. It includes running, walking, and cycling both indoors and outdoors, spinning, hiking, basketball, and yoga. On top of these, the user interface looks good and runs pretty smoothly. The responsive rate of the display is good and looks promising for its price tag. However, you’ll find it somewhat difficult to touch some elements here and there owing to its screen size and larger bezels.
The DIZO Watch interface also features Live Watch Faces. The feature can display dynamic backgrounds on the dial. This feature can be easily customized as per the needs of the users. It supports over 60 watch dials to meet the fashion aesthetics, including the color preferences of men or women. You can match them according to your mood or the occasion you are heading to, whether a gym or a date. However, I find the count not good enough. Although 60 seems good enough, only some of them were worthy enough to set them as your daily drive. Therefore, more watch faces are needed to making the watch not boring.
Verdict: Overall, the UI looks smooth and quite responsive. However, the presence of larger bezels and small screen size somewhat affected this segment as well. It is not giving you the scope to unleash the responsiveness as advertised by the company.
Dizo by Realme Watch Review: Battery/Charging
Dizo smartwatch by realme is powered by a 315 mAh battery which is quite good enough to withstand everyday usage. The Dizo watch is also equipped with a low-power consumption chip and Bluetooth 5.0 technology. According to the manufacturer, the watch can withstand up to 12 days of extensive daily usage. However, the real-time battery backup seems somewhat different from the advertised range. On a full charge and an average daily usage, the watch delivered a full 10-day battery backup. The magnetic charger given in the box is also good. You just need to lay it down gently and it can charge up the device without any hiccups.
Verdict: Overall, the Battery life is good enough and quite decent for this price range. The watch can give you up to 10-12 days of battery backup on regular usage.
Dizo by Realme Watch Review: Performance & Features
Dizo smartwatch is a great choice for multi-sports enthusiasts, who can track any of the sports activities that they choose to pursue. It also supports recording daily and weekly exercise durations and calorie consumption in any specific exercising mode. The watch also possesses the ability to detect the blood oxygen level. Apart from these features, Dizo is fully equipped with amazing features such as
- Precision Health Monitoring.
- Smart AIoT Control Via realme Link App
- IP68 Water Resistant.
- Music Controls.
- Weather Forecast.
- OTA upgrades
- Message Reminders.
- Call Notifications.
When it comes to the performance factor, Dizo is hit and miss sometimes. Some sensors are not working perfectly. We observed some problems with its sensor. The SpO2 monitoring seems a bit laggy and not up to the mark. We also found some problems with the pedometer equipped with this watch. The sensor is displaying faulty step counts although there is absolutely no movement in the user. Sometimes it shows more and sometimes it shows less.
Verdict: Overall, the performance factor of this smartwatch is quite decent and up to the mark. The smartwatch is currently priced at 3000-3499 INR on Flipkart. It’s a decent product that satisfies every functionality and can provide great value to money spent on it.
