Triggr Volt V1 Review: In our fast-paced lives, our devices are like our sidekicks. But guess what? Those smartphones, tablets, and laptops can be real battery hogs, leaving us with a dreaded low-battery warning at the worst possible times. That’s where power banks come in! Whether you’re traveling, working from home, or just out and about, a reliable power bank will make sure you never run out of juice.

But here’s the thing: there are so many power bank options out there that it can be tough to find the perfect one. It’s not just about how much juice it can hold or how quickly it can charge. You also need to consider how durable and versatile it is, especially if you’re going to use it every day

Why a Rugged Power Bank is a Smart Choice

A power bank needs to be tough and reliable, right? That’s where a rugged power bank comes in. It’s like a superhero that can handle the rough and tumble of everyday life, so you can focus on what really matters – having power when you need it. Whether you’re scaling mountains or navigating through busy streets, a rugged power bank is your reliable sidekick. There are many rugged power banks out there, and we got our hands on the Volt V1 from Triggr. It is priced under just 899 and we’ve been using this power bank for a month now, and here are our thoughts.

Design and Build

The Triggr Volt V1 is built to last. It’s tough and easy to carry, making it perfect for travel and outdoor adventures. The LED indicator is super handy – you can just glance at it and know how much battery power you have left. The materials feel nice and smooth, and it’s surprisingly light for how sturdy it is.

It comes in three awesome colors: Tiffany Green, Mariner Black, and Sunshine Black. I’m a total fan of Tiffany Green, it’s like a super cool camo green that’s super stylish! This just fits right in your hand and looks great! Overall, the build quality is good enough for that price range.

Battery and Efficiency

The Triggr Volt V1 has a 10,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery that can charge your device a couple of times, depending on how big it is. It might not seem like much, but it’s helped the power bank stay small and easy to carry around. This can be a bit of a bummer for users who rely on a power bank for on-the-go charging.

The power bank offers versatile charging options with:

  • Input:
    • USB-C: 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A
  • Output:
    • USB A Port: 5V/2.4A, 9V/2.2A, 12V/1.85A
    • Type-C Cable: 5V/3A, 9V/2.2A, 12V/1.85A
    • Lightning Cable: 5V/2.4A

The Type-C cable and USB-A port both have fast charging capabilities, reaching up to 22.5W on Type-A and 20W on Type-C. The Lightning cable, on the other hand, provides a total 12W output. This versatility makes them compatible with a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and even wireless earbuds. On paper, the power bank should recharge pretty quickly because it has 18W input support via USB-C. But in real life, the charging time to reach a full 10,000 mAh capacity is way longer than expected.

The power bank has an 18W fast charging input, and a 10,000 mAh battery should charge in about 3 hours. But it took me around 4 hours. That’s a bit of a bummer.

Also, it’s getting way too hot while charging. That’s a big no-no for me.

Safety Features

The Triggr Volt V1 is all about safety. It’s got these super cool protection features like over-voltage, over-current, and short circuit protection. So, you can charge your fancy devices without worrying about any power surges or unexpected faults. Your gadgets will be safe and sound! These features really raised the bar for me.

Features

The power bank boasts several notable features, though its battery and charger capabilities could be improved. It offers three different charging ports: USB-A, Type-C, and Lightning, which is convenient for people who use a variety of devices.

Additionally, it supports power delivery and rapid charging technologies, making it compatible with newer laptops.

Key Highlights

  1. Versatility: The device offers a wide range of input and output options, ensuring compatibility with various devices, including Android and iOS.
  2. Fast Charging: It supports 22.5W fast charging via USB-A and Type-C cables, providing rapid power replenishment.
  3. Safety Protections: The device incorporates robust safety measures, instilling confidence in its reliability.
  4. Efficiency: Low power consumption minimizes energy waste, contributing to its overall efficiency.
  5. Portability: The device’s rugged yet lightweight design facilitates convenient travel.

Drawbacks

  1. Limited Capacity for Heavy Users: While the 10,000 mAh battery is sufficient for casual usage, heavy users may find it slightly insufficient for extended trips without recharging.
  2. Heating Issues: The power bank is a bit of a hothead when it comes to charging

Final Words:

The Triggr Volt V1 Power Bank is a great deal if you’re looking for a rugged, reliable, and high-quality power bank. But it seems to have some issues with charging and battery life.

It’s well-made, can charge your devices in many ways, and charges them quickly. It’s perfect for everyday use and traveling. It’s safe and reliable. If you need a power bank that can do a lot and charge your devices quickly, the Triggr Volt V1 is a good choice. But if you need a bigger battery or wireless charging, you might want to look elsewhere.
