OnePlus Nord is talk of the tech town right now. Every mobile lover is waiting for the big reveal from OnePlus. Above all, Being called as the budget phone ignited the hype. However, everybody wants to get their hands on it no matter what. The inside details of this phone are getting one by one revealed either by the company itself or by people who love spilling spoilers. I’m also excited about it and made my way of searching through the Internet in order to gain all the information about it.
Here are some of the details that I’ve got my hands on about this phone. Some of these are officially revealed specs, official leaks from the trusted tech-giants and some of them are speculation among netizens. Whatever they are, these details made this phone something to watch out for.
Specification: Officially Revealed
Amazon has become an official online launching pad for OnePlus Nord and therefore it has given some inside details about the phone. You can see the revealed features through a blurred image in the Amazon website.

According to Amazon’s official statement taken on 11-July, Nord is going to have
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset that has the ability to support 5G network.
- Flagship camera featuring the OIS (optical image stabilisation).
- AMOLED panel with the refresh rate yet to be revealed.

These specifications are compiled from various tech sources which are trusted in every tech aspect. However, they may contain some facts that are valid and some rumors as well. Please note that these specifications are not officially endorsed by either its manufacturer or its retailer.
Screen refresh rate:
While amazon revealed that OnePlus Nord will have an AMOLED panel. However, the refresh rate was not revealed in its website. According to this source, it is rumored to have a 90Hz panel.
Cameras:
We already saw the preview video from the company itself. In other words, we came to know that it is going to have a quad-camera setup from that video reveal itself. Although we know about the number of cameras in OnePlus Nord, little do we know anything about its Pixel capacity, Dynamic and Lens range. According to this source,
- The rear camera setup is said to include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor with an f/1.75 lens and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) + Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) support. It may be accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens that has 119 field-of-view (FOV), a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens.
- On the front, the OnePlus Nord is said to have a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 lens and an 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle f/2.45.
Battery:
According to this source, Nord is powered with a 4000mAh battery. To be precise, it is rumoured to have a 4115mAh battery which might be true as XDA also revealed the same number in this post. In other words OnePlus is following the same formula every manufacturer is following (Bigger Battery & Fast Charging). Moreover, In addition to that, it is going to have Warp Charge feature that can charge the phone at blazing speed. This feature is confirmed by this source.
Colour Options:
According to this source, Nord will be available in 3 different colours Blue Marble, Grey Onyx, Grey Ash.
Price:
Now, this is something everybody is waiting for. I searched everywhere on the Internet for this. Unlike the above features, the price tag of this phone is really crucial, at least for me. So, according to day-long research that I conducted and going through about 70 tech websites. I came to the conclusion that the price tag will somewhere between 25,000 to 30,000.
Launch:
According to Amzon, OnePlus Nord will be released on 21st July 2020. However, OnePlus is planning to launch a AR Launch Event through which a registered person can access the exclusive look of the phone along with some assured gifts and merchandise.
