There is nothing in this world that’s more painful than seeing your purchase is on sale. The pain will get to a whole new level if you saw it, the next day itself. Online shopping has become a place of instant heart attacks and never-ending regrets. Trust me, we’ve all been through that one day or another. I bought shoes about a month ago and felt awesome wearing it until I saw its price being bombarded during Amazon’s Great Indian Sale. The massive discount instantly made me regret my decision. I kicked myself for not being patient and waiting for the sale.
When is saw the 50% Off tag on the product that I’ve been eyeing for weeks? I had a series of questions running around my mind. I thought this was it, you can’t get a great deal better than this. What if the price increase? What should I do? I immediately succumbed to those thoughts and the next minute itself I’m on the payments screen giving access to my hard-earned money. There was no regret at all. I got the shoe and it fits right. My happiness knows no bounds until I saw the 80% Off tag on it right after a few days.
Having a Shopping Companion Might Help
It’s important to find ways to make each penny count. One way to do that is to find the best possible deal for your purchase. How to know that you are getting a good deal? The price tags in shopping portals are notorious and ever-changing. The only way to know that you are getting a great deal is to find the highest discount possible for a product. Having a trusted online shopping companion might help you to do that. With that thought running in my mind, I searched around the Internet to find apps or websites that have the potential to find good deals. There are many tools to help you navigate the web and find the best available deals.
Google Shopping Tab has More Potential Than You Think, But.
Websites like Buyhatke, Shopee, BGR and Desire are really good and showed me some different ways to save money. Even the shopping tab on Google helps track the best deals possible for a product. Many people don’t use it often and I find it odd. Google shopping tab has many features that can help to shop smartly. For instance, you can
- Turn on price tracking from Shopping product pages to receive alerts for price drops.
- Filter up sale items.
- Checkout real-time data of some product prices (You can find it only for a few products)
- View various price and buying options available.
These are just the tip of the iceberg. I found some amazing deals with this, especially during holiday seasons. However, you have to spend some time to understand how it works. It can grind through different websites and find deals. However, the legitimacy of the deals was in jeopardy as Google has a habit to index products from different websites without knowing their validity. This is one of the major drawbacks of this system and the users have to know where they are going and how much they are spending.
For instance, I saw an unbelievable discount on an Adidas shoe in Google shopping tab and clicked right away without giving it a second thought. I then landed on a webpage that’s pale and dim looking. Therefore, while using Google Shopping tab, users have to be aware of what they are signing up for or else they would land on land of counterfeit goods.
RippedTags: The “Deal” Breaker
I stumbled upon this interesting website called RippedTags and felt a little awestruck and cryptic at the same time. Awestruck, because it’s got deals that’ too good to be true and I also felt cryptic for the same reason. This website showed me some great deals of all time. After exploring it for an hour, I found that it’s legitimate and the deals were real. This website is an Affiliated website and every deal present on it was taken from Amazon. For starters, Affiliated website means is a site that promotes affiliate products from various online stores. They can be digital or physical. They promote other people’s products through affiliate links and earn a commission whenever someone bought them.
RippedTags has got some amazing deals that I’ve ever seen on the Internet. You will see a wide range of deals on T-Shirts, Shirts, Shorts, Trousers and Track Pants. The best part of this website is that these deals are available at their peak discounts. Yes, you heard it right.
This website is filled up with 70-80% Off deals from Amazon and the list get updated every night. It’s like I’ve found an island of deals that’s too good to be true. These deals were gathered from
- Exploring every shopping portals throughout the day.
- Mining through a large amount of data.
- Gather deals through suggestions from their visitors.
I’ve Finally Gave it a Shot and It’s Worth it
After going through every aspect of this site, I’ve decided to give it a shot. I made my first click on the website. It was a Proline T-shirt and it is up for grabs for a whopping 77% Off discount. The product size didn’t match with my requirements, however, the deal was too good to be true. Henceforth, I decided to buy it for my uncle. The minute I put it my cart, I felt nervous and clicked to checkout, voila Rippedtags took me to Amazon directly.
I’m a B.Tech graduate myself and I know a few things about Phishing and Clickjacking. Somehow, it made me check everything about that site. After 10 Minutes, I realized it’s 100% legitimate Amazon and the deal was real. I’ve processed my payment and booked the product instantly. The website’s terms and privacy policies were clear as water, however, the deal seriously made me enable my guard mode. If it was 50 or 60 per cent, I would not look at for the second time. But, seriously close to 80 per cent, that surely made my jaw drop.

A Word of Caution
Just because I believe it, It doesn’t mean, you should too. I’ve shared my experience and I encourage all of you to go through this website once. Be sure to check their Terms, Privacy Policies & Disclaimer before giving it a thought. I think this website is great and it got some good deals. The only caveat in it is, it’s majorly focused on Amazon India as I haven’t seen any other country deals in it.
